We are very pleased to say that for the second year running Eden Valley has been given, “The People’s Award, Regional Winner.” The award has been given to us by the Natural Death Centre Charity, who run the Association of Natural Burial Grounds. The award is largely a recognition of the work that we have done to enable families and friends the time and space to say goodbye to their loved ones in a beautiful, natural setting. Thank you to any friends or family members who took the time to write and send one of our feedback forms to the Natural Death Centre. The award is given primarily on the back of the comments, ratings and opinions of this feedback.
In other news we are excited to say that for the first time ever honey has been farmed at Eden Valley. We have a beehive on our grounds and in spring 2023 a bee colony moved in. They were busy over spring and summer collecting nectar and making honey and in October I collected some of the honey, enough for five jars of delicious pure honey. We are looking forward to seeing how they get on this year and hopefully at the end of summer farming some more pure Kentish honey.
